Support for Every Stage of Life

For New Parents:
Parent groups at the local and district level offer one of the most valuable membership benefits—peer-to-peer guidance and emotional support from families who understand the unique medical, educational, and social considerations of raising a child with dwarfism.

For Pre-Teens:
Children thrive when surrounded by peers who share their experiences. Through District 2 and local chapter events—such as picnics, pool parties, and seasonal gatherings—kids have the chance to connect, play, and build friendships that last far beyond the event weekend.

For Teens:
The teen years can be full of questions and challenges. District 2 provides opportunities for teens to socialize, gain confidence, and find belonging through our teen groups, workshops, and district events designed specifically for young members.

For Adults:
Whether pursuing higher education, starting a career, or navigating everyday life, adult members benefit from a strong support system. LPA offers scholarships, advocacy on key legislation, workplace guidance, and social events that foster lasting community.

Medical Support:
LPA is committed to providing members with the most up-to-date medical resources available. The Medical Advisory Board includes specialists across multiple disciplines who offer expert consultations, referrals, and educational materials for members and their healthcare providers.

District and National Conferences

Little People of America members are invited to participate in the annual National Conference as well as District 2’s two Regional Conferences, hosted each spring and fall.

  • The National Conference draws more than 1,600 attendees, including international guests, and offers workshops, medical consultations, social events, and an expansive EXPO of dwarfism-related products and resources.

  • District 2 Conferences provide the same spirit on a more local scale, with weekend programming that includes education, networking, family activities, and community building.
